Finally Camping Again!

Oh how we love to be camping again!  Hidden in the trees, way back in the site (10' further away from the road than when we had our American Eagle).
Yes, it is nice to be back in a motorhome...especially when we are in a "New to Us" motor home!  But it sure can tire you out....I think Marcia and I could sleep for two or three days if given the chance.  But things are coming together pretty good.  I think we are down to having space in the cabinets over the bed (a lot of space), and space under the bed (about 1/2 of the are under the bed is available for storage, but we have used a bit of that already.)  We have a small pile of "this stuff is going back into the condo", and nothing on the list yet of "Ooooopppps, we forgot this!".

Still not ready to show pictures of the inside, but here are a few of the outside....

Hmmm, it looks better out in the woods than it does in the Camping World parking lot, that's for sure.

We are at Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park near Crystal River again.  If you want to see more about the park, here are some previous posts from last year.  November 13November 14, December 3.  Now I don't know how it would be in the Snow Bird months, but it is so very nice and quiet this time of year.

And Marcia and I are not the only happy campers here....

Bubba and Skruffy are very happy to be back out on the road.  Only wish they could help us unpack and find places for all this stuff we need for 17 month long adventure which we hope to start on the 10th.  (yes, that is a heating pad next to Bubba....sure helps those sore, aching bones, that's for sure.)

  2. I love your new MH...beautiful! You'll be able to go so many more places with a rig that is a little shorter.

We've been on the road for three years and we have all kinds of space. Granted we have a 40' MH but the bays underneath aren't full and I have room under the bed. Every year I get rid of more "stuff" we don't use. You'll find lots you really didn't need after a while. Happy packing!

    1. I think we just about have it down now, and yes, we are probably carrying around a number of items we just won't use much, but I only get one vote in the matter, Marcia gets a vote, and the dogs get a half vote each....for some reason, they always seem to vote her way. :) Hope you are enjoying Colorado. --dave

  3. Yea! You're into the "new to you" motorhome and it's a beauty! I can't believe how much Cali looks like she's related to Skruffy. At eleven, Cali has mild arthritis and the vet suggested I give her glucosamine chondroitin. They make a special one for dogs at Trader Joe's. It seems to help...

    1. I showed Marcia a picture from you blog of Cali and she said, "Oh, that's a nice picture of Skruffy....." Bubba is on glucosamine chondroitin that we get from Petco...will need to compare that to Trader Joe's when we run across a Trader Joe's.
