Here we are at the Stewart State Park Campground between Medford and Crater Lake, no neighbors for 3 sights on either side of us, behind us, and only 2 just in front and to our left….under beautiful trees, lots of green grass, no TV (that’s ok) and, well, Internet reception is 1X with 4 bars. 1X is Verizon’s second generation cellular. It is good for, well, phone calls and text messages which have no pictures attached.
Tomorrow we are headed up on a day trip to Crater Lake, and if all the stars line up, we will have a visit with Mary-Pat who writes the
Butterflies and Heart Songs blog. We will probably not get to post pictures of Crater Lake until we are on our way home Friday. Now it is time to take a nap and “hope” this posts while I am napping….it will probably take that long.
I hope you have a clear view of Crater Lake. Another blogger was there last week and the smoke was heavy and low...no view at all. Good Luck! Hope all is sunny:)
ReplyDeleteI have been looking at Google images of Crater Lake which have been posted over the past 3-4 days and I figure we have a 50/50 shot of having a good day, depends all upon the wind.
DeleteHi Dave:
ReplyDeleteI have the phone number of the Post Office Supervisor, who "may" try to find my packet before it goes to the carrier for delivery. If all goes well I'll be on my way, if not, I'll have to wait until the regular afternoon delivery. I understand their unwillingness to go out of their way for me. As the postal clerk said yesterday, "Think of what the lines would look like here in the Post Office if everybody wanted special attention for their 2-day or 3-day deliveries.
I'm watching the time as I can call about 8:30 with my 'special attention' request. I'll call too.
Hope you can make it....if not, there will be another day somewhere down the road.
DeleteNote: It took two minutes, yes, two minutes to bring up this website due to the 1X connection we have. That is how bad it is to do the Internet with 2nd generation garbage connection.
ReplyDeleteI will wait very patiently for pictures of Crater Lake...it's on my list!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
