Sixty miles north of Florida lays the city of Tifton. It is midnight, 75 degrees with 90% humidity...I just turned off the generator which was running the AC which allowed me to get a restless hours sleep. I feel suffocating, just how did our ancestors do it back then??? Oh ya, mine did it by STAYING NORTH OF THE MASON-DIXON LINE!
We are 4 hours, if lucky, from the comfort of the Condo's AC, which we don't notice every time it kicks on and off. If I can only make it through the rest of the night...
Marcia had a very nice visit with Gerry...more on that in my next blog, including a picture of two.
That is one thing I have discovered about the van. If I'm going to travel when it's hot, I'm going to be plugged in, I don't care how much it costs. If it's that humid, I'm going to a motel. So sorry this hasn't been a fun return trip. Mother Nature isn't being nice at all.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a good trip, but I just did not look at the weather forecast on this last night as well as I should have...especially the humidity.
DeleteAh shucks. Was hoping you were traveling through this part of north Alabama and could stop for a night or two. Our RVs sites are full hook ups (A/C!)
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the Huntsville sign headed to the north, while we were turning south, I thought about ya...
DeleteI might have mentioned this before but my grandniece and family moved from LV, Nevada to San Antonio, Florida. She loves that hot humid weather. Hmmm....I don't get it either.
ReplyDeleteShe is in the same county we are in, but way on the eastern side while we are on the western side.
DeleteYou are getting there! Hang in there...
ReplyDeleteWe got there...
