For the first 20 years or so working at the Library, hardly anything would get me out of the Library outside of going to another meeting, or going to Rotary….then Skruffy came along, and I got outside daily numerous times. A good break from working on the computer…. (honest confession here…..I did not wear ties, my hair was not that short, and I have worn a beard for the past 22+ years)
This past week since coming back from the coast I’ve fixed the motorhome leak with minimal help from Arny, I got my Aunt’s new computer up and going and installed at her house down South of Sacramento, and we decided that Marcia needed a new laptop, and got that installed and going with only the transfer of I-Tunes left on my end….
So today it was grooming day. Last time I gave the dogs a good cut-job was on our Oregon Trip about six or seven weeks ago. I wish I could keep bubba on a monthly cutting schedule…the longer we go, the harder it is to cut his thick hair. Skruffy’s hair is not nearly as thick as Bubba’s, so I could go 8 weeks and still cut it real easy. So I took them over to mom and dad’s house, did Bubba first, which too a good hour and a half or more giving him a good trim down, and a good bath/shower. Once done, he loves it…but he just does not like it when I do it. As I have said before, Skruffy just loves it all.
At least we aren’t out there on the road facing signs like this….which is a whole another topic, and I doubt any of you wish to hear my ranting and raving about our lack of leadership throughout our government.
Guess that sums up the smelly mess….now to see what to do over the next few days….
That was a lot of things you scratched off the list...way to go!
ReplyDeleteWish I had to power to get rid of that stinking garbage in D.C.
DeleteWow, a whole laundry list - dogs included! I wish I could groom Cali myself. I give her a bath and trim her hair when it gets in her eyes, but I'd be a lame dog groomer! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYour Aunt loves her new computer!! Yesterday, Mom and I had to re-enroll her for her health insurance (done yearly) and for the first time Mom was able to sit next to me and follow along while I read and filled in each page. And...for the first time ever, it took us only 30 minutes flat to complete all the forms. Last year it took us an hour and a half. So, my Mom thanks you, I thank you and Ginger and Cocoa thanks you because I spend less time on the computer and more time giving lots of lovies and attention to them. ;-))
ReplyDeleteAnd your speakers and camera should be in by Monday (14th) which should enhance your computer use! Glad it is all working out....love you Aunt Flo --Dave
