Made it to Stewart B.C. -- Hyder Alaska is 3 miles away
Again, bad Internet. Saw 5, yes 5 bears today, all black bears. 2 cubs with mom, then two other adults as we neared Stewart. Pictures later...another wonderful drive!
I just got caught up on your travels. So glad Skruffy is doing well. She makes my personal list of cases that made me proud to be a veterinarian. Feel fortunate that our paths crossed this summer. Wishing you safe travels.
Meezie, we have been thinking about you so much, hope it has been a good fishing season. I will write you about how well Skruffy is doing, and to others who might be reading this, she is doing very well. Indebted forever...Dave and Marcia
Nancy, you are so right...but the scenery, the fresh air, the friendly people, the atmosphere of the entire Northwest up here is all so wonderful. But there is something about driving along, seeing a bear, a moose or other wildlife which just does something for you...as Clint Eastwood would say, "Makes my day..." (ok, Clint had other intentions with 'make my day' than that)
